He won't be the first to look at him askance for using the word "love" to talk about his involvement with a mortal man, either. But there isn't another word for it. Magnus knows, better than anyone, the pain he'll experience at the end of Alec's life, he'd walked into it with his eyes open.]

If only it were that easy, but sacrificing a goat never really did anything. Killing something just puts the mundane in the right mental space to reach out to a Greater Demon. No, keeping my magic along with his makes him the most powerful demon in Edom. That amount of power is too much of a draw. I'm just. Stuck.
